REVERIE

This collection tells a story of unity and self-discovery, a reflection of my journey to understand and express the essence of who I am. By creating a fictional world with characters that represent different pieces of myself, I mirror the human experience of bringing together various aspects of identity to form a cohesive whole.

In this world, every living being has a “core” that defines their essence and enables reincarnation. When a being dies, their core dims, and reincarnation becomes the process of replenishing and growing the core through a new cycle. In my story, the five characters are a rare reincarnation of one core that broke into five pieces. Remarkably, the core replenishes itself in these separated fragments, but there are visible consequences—flaws and imperfections that come from lacking a full core. These characteristics reflect the flaws and "mistakes" we see in individuals in our present world.

These five characters are all creations of mine, born from me and living on as pieces of my “core.” Through them, I reconcile the ambiguity of life, channeling it into something tangible, meaningful, and enduring. In crafting this world and these looks, I am finding and defining myself while leaving behind a legacy that speaks to my unique perception of my existence.
